The UK has many wonderful areas that can be explored by bike. So forget about doing laps of your local park and take a trip to one of these incredible places to experience some of the natural beauty we have here in the UK.
Lakeland Loop, Lake District
This 65km circuit is through one of the both beautiful areas of the country. It provides coastal views before heading inland with a series of tough climbs. If you manage to beat the high gradients then you will be greeted with an incredible view from the peak.
Box Hill Olympic Circuit, Surrey
If you’ve ever wanted to pretend that you're in the Olympics then this is your opportunity. The 16.8 km circuit allows you to speed through the Surrey Hills, cycling where olympians once cycled. The 2.5km ascent provides a good challenge with a beautiful view over the River Mole from the peak.
The Settle Circular, Yorkshire
The 64km loop provides both an opportunity to test your stamina and to view some of the most beautiful landscapes in the UK. You will pass through a number of pretty towns and villages as you follow a route that was also partially used in the 2014 Tour de France.
Richmond Park, London
One of the most popular cycling spots in London, Richmond Park provides a quiet green space within the capital. A whole circuit of the park is 10.8km meaning you can go for a few more laps if you are still feeling full of energy. Keep your eyes peeled and you might even see some of the famous deer that call Richmond Park home.
Applecross via Bealach na Bà, Scotland
This ride is dubbed as one of the greatest in the UK. It follows part of the North Coast 500, known as Scotland’s Route 66, which shows some beautiful landscapes. It then leads to a 9km climb at Bealach na Ba which rises up to 626m above sea level.
